The alternative to viral=magnetic

Playing with two ovoid magnets, slate/sliver smooth and very powerful, I realized a possible answer to a query I’d begun posing at the National Writing Project Conference: what’s a way to say viral without the negative associations of disease transmission?

The only two pieces of real magic I’ve encountered first hand in my life: magnets and the Moëbius strip
